This book will inspire you to rent a cottage in a charming beach town on the Connecticut shore. Maris, a successful denim fashion designer and Jason, a talented architect, will be married in two weeks. They have lived together for a year in the quaint town of Stony Point located on the Connecticut shore, and are now feeling the pressure between career responsibilities and last minute wedding preparations. All of the friends from the first book, Blue Jeans and Coffee Beans, are back to assist including their german shepherd, but there are many issues that need sorting out including that of Jason's beloved brother who was tragically killed in an accident years ago. My favorite new character is Maris's aunt from Italy who accepts her wedding invitation and brings grace and wisdom to the group. If you enjoy fashion, you will be particularly drawn to the passages that describe Maris's design techniques and how she goes from inspiration to drawing boards to creating her denim designs. I really hope that there is a third book in this series as I could see several opportunities to continue the story of Maris and Jason and how they continue to succeed in their chosen careers surrounded by loving family and friends.

The Denim Blue Sea continues the story of Maris, Jason, kyle, Lauren, Matt, and Eva!! Maris and Jason are going to be married and the story takes us along with all the drama and preparations for this wedding!! I love how we the reader become totally invested in these friendships. And in the background is the memory of Jasons brother Neil who died in a motorcycle accident and Jason injured!! Frienships are tested and secrets revealed!! A great read!! Joanne DeMaio always delivers!!
all of her books so far that I have read, I feel myself in the book and love them! to me this is a good book when you can enjoy it that much, as the writer herself is absorbed writing it as well......her books give me a good feeling and love the characters....and the area she writes about. Especially in this days, with all going on we need books that put us in a good place! Waiting for the next one....
A perfect summer read. I am on the 3rd book and I can’t put it down. Blue Jeans. And Coffe Beans is the first in the series. There is a total of five. Joanne Demaio is a great author. Highly recommend this summer reading series.
Oh my goodness, I need to dry my face and shake the sand out of my shoes! This book was perfectly written! I cried and laughed and imagined I was smelling the salty air. Perfect follow up for Blue jeans and Coffee Beans. Another must read, read it first if you can. Ms. DeMaio is a very talented writer. I want to be a part of the gang and feel left out. They have so much fun and life. Wishing I was living there in a cabin by the sea. Get this book, you won't be sorry.
What a great book. Filled with emotions, trials, friendship all brimming over with the love from the characters. There were trials that seemed insurmountable but nevertheless they came through and were wiser because of it. It was the "glue" that kept them all together and covering each other's back.

The references and stories about the ocean, the waves, also the sky in all its beauty especially the glittering stars was very beautiful and gave even more to the story. A very enjoyable book that I recommend to you highly.
I chose this book because it's in the middle of a beach series. Although I grew up in the N W I grew up on the beach so I seek out books with beach settings and ambience to lose myself in, imagine I'm there. It relaxes me. I just finished it. I can almost hear the waves and breeze and seagulls the way she lays out her words. It's almost poetic it's so beautiful. I cried when it ended but not because it was sad, although it does have those places. No, it was because it was so happy all around, and I didn't want it to stop. Another reason I love it is that the story does go on longer. I read the excerpt already and ordered the Beach Blues which was here instantly. So right now I'm returning to the beach !
