Shy accountant Katie Lenard wanted one special Valentine’s Day before she grew old with a house full of cats. But girls her size didn’t receive flowers and candy. Just once, she wanted someone to see past her less than perfect body to the lonely heart underneath.
She wanted someone to love her.
Tired of watching her obsess over the romantic holiday, Katie’s best friend decides to give Cupid a helping hand by giving her an assignment with a man who meets all of Katie’s requirements for the perfect Valentine. He’s handsome and rich. But best of all, he’s a sexy-as-sin cowboy who really appreciates a plus-size woman.
John Kinkaid has not had an easy life and it shows in his less than hospitable manners. Having the responsibility of a younger brother thrust upon him at the tender age of sixteen, he’s done everything in his power to make sure both of their futures are secure. He’s worked tirelessly to turn a failing ranch into an international success and he’s kept a tight rein on his oil and gas holdings so that they will never again have to struggle. And he’s kept an even tighter rein on his emotions.
John doesn’t have time for hearts and flowers. At least not until he meets Katie. The time he spends with the curvy beauty has him rethinking his lonely existence.
“So Ms. Lenard, it’s almost Valentine’s Day. Where is your boyfriend taking you to celebrate?” James casually put one arm on the back of Katie’s seat making her feel caged in.
She cleared her throat. “I, umm, don’t have a boyfriend.”
“Now, I find that hard to believe,” James stated.
Katie dared a glance toward the front. Her gaze met John’s again and this time he didn’t scowl. Instead, his stare was intense. Assessing.
Katie licked her suddenly dry lips. What could she say? Men preferred women who looked like Marcia? Why state the obvious?
“I’m a very discerning woman, Mr. Kinkaid.” She gave him a fake haughty stare. He laughed as she’d hoped he would.
But instead of letting the matter drop, he took her hand and brought it to his lips. He lightly grazed her knuckles before turning her hand over and pressing a harder, longer kiss to her palm. “And I’m a discerning man, Ms. Lenard.”
“We’re here.”
The SUV jerked to a violent stop, forcing John to release Katie’s hand as they braced themselves against the back of their respective seats.
“Take it easy, John,” James said. “This isn’t your old truck. This vehicle does have brakes.”
James opened his door and was out of the vehicle before his brother could respond.
Katie reached down to pick up the notepad and calculator which had fallen to the floor.
As she straightened, John opened her door and reached in, taking her elbow to help her from the high seat. She tried to exit the vehicle as gracefully as she could and, to her immense relief, she managed not to fall at the man’s feet.
“I’m not paying you to flirt with my brother, Ms. Lenard.”

This was full of back and forth. One second John is drawn to Katie, the next, she doesn't exist. One minute James is heavily flirting with Katie, but the next he's supposedly in a serious relationship with Marcia! John acts like the biggest teenager of them all, with his mercurio mood and making up his mind that Katie belongs to him, yet at the first sight of something that LOOKS like betrayal, he throws a temper tantrum that a three year old would whoop him for having. Katie is a wet rag. The reader is supposed to feel sorry for her. On the contrary, she too carries herself like a hormonal teenager who has never had an ounce of good morals in her life. At the sight of a handsome man (and he's rich, as the narrator kept throwing out there. As if that were a valid quality) Katie is ready to roll onto her back (which she does). Neither one ever shares anything personal about themselves. The only conversation is what the reader reads. Yet all of a sudden they are madly in love! This really needs to go back to the drawing board and be rewritten with purpose, dignity, and class, otherwise, chuck it.Product details

Send Me a Cowboy BBW Valentine Western Romance Billionaire Rancher edition by Patricia Mason Joann Baker Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book was ok. The idea was nice but the execution wasn't great. It went too fast, not much build up, not enough sex or seduction and the guy was kind of a douche till the end. Not one of my faves
I was really excited to read this story but I was disappointed. The male character was pretty much always in a bad mood but you didn't know enough about his background to understand why. I liked the female just fine. I just wish the story had been developed more. I love a good Alpha male but I need more to the story than this.
This is a quick read that ends with a perfect Valentine's Day. All the characters are very detailed for a short read. Definitely add this one to your must read pile.
Truly awful. I know this is a short, but I hate it when I am told how a character is, rather than shown. For example, "he was dominant and demanding." But my real pet peeve were all the references to fat girls, fat jokes, etc, FROM THE HEROINE'S POINT OF VIEW!! Yes, she's "plus size;" that's established in the first paragraph. But when the character is blond, you don't constantly get negative or whiny blond references. Or if she is a quirky librarian, you don't get constant nerd references. Also, the heroine constantly complains about how she is always alone, never had a positive Valentine's Day, but at one point comments that she is very selective. WTF? If you are lonely, give the nice ones a chance! Anyway, struck me as super fake, very thin characters, wasn't even sure they had done the deed on the page where they did the deed. I had to read it twice to deduce that turning point in the story. Save yourself the time.
I'm a huge fan of Romance and Erotica but its always difficult for me to imagine myself as the heroine because they aren't like me. I'm a tall BBW and I just wanted so badly to read about a romance for women like me and I absolutely found it in this book! How fantastic to find a character that is smart, pretty, and a BBW like me (well she is shorter than me but still a BBW). I love how she has her insecurities but that she is still a woman who can match wits and show confidence against a man she would consider out of her league. The story was short and sweet but that's ok with me because I'm a single mom that works so it gave me the romance I so desperately needed without taking up so much time to read. It was a complete story and I enjoyed that very much! I was so thrilled with this BBW romance I emailed the authors to express my thanks in writing this story! Not only did I get a quick and lovely response, they offered to send me another book in their BBW Cowboy series! In just hope they write a quick novella about the brother and his love for the secretary. You can totally feel while reading that it would be a great story there. Anyways, if you're looking for a quick read with a heroine that isn't your typical beauty than I completely recommend this book!
We all can't be size 2. It's nice to read about romance for us who are large and beautiful. This is a good short story with a HEA ending. With more time we could learn a lot more about the characters. The story line was good just too short to really sink your teeth into it. All in all a sweet fun story line. Love a good Valentine day.
The reason I'm rating this as a "Hated It" is because it is upsetting to read about BBWs in a negative manner. Why can't the heroine be confident and full figured?
Overall the story came across as heroine is so lonely and believes no one wants her because she's fat. Then she meets the hero (who happens to be her client) and she's in love with him with 24 hours. Somehow momentarily she gains self confidence and is able to flirt with hero however she consistently wanders back to the land of low self-esteem and self confidence.
Don't understand how the hero could find low self-esteem attractive. Wasted my money.
